If you still cannot connect the range extender(TROUBLESHOOTING)
Your extender could not be located within the range of the router or installed at the edge of the signal field. To avoid bad connectivity, keep the extender next to the router. When typing the wireless paraphrase (commonly known as the WiFi password), note that it is case-sensitive. Also, double-check the SSID (network name) to which your computer is connected. The SSID of the extender is always Linksys Extender Configuration XXX. The XXX in the SSID of the extender is the last three characters of the Mac address of the extender.

Choose wireless security as per the router's compatibility. If your router uses WPA encryption, then WPA security could be used by your extender. Perhaps, the culprit is the extender's expired firmware. For a successful installation of the Linksys Extender Setup, the extender's software must be up to date with the latest update.
